Who We Are

Headlines Educational Centre (HEC) established in 1996, is a prestigious Christian school currently offering the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), as a British Council accredited Centre.

We are registered with the Registrar General’s Department as a limited liability company and by the Ghana Education Service as a Grade A school.

We are a coeducational & disability inclusive school with boarding facilities. We are well known as a centre for excellent academic achievement.

Cambridge International Examination

Headlines Educational Centre is currently an accredited centre for the Cambridge International Examination (CIE). CIE is a provider of international qualifications offering examinations and qualifications in more than 160 countries. It is an examination board under Cambridge Assessment, founded in 1858 as a department of the University of Cambridge. Examinations are open to students at registered CIE centres.

British International School of Music and Art

Music is comprehensive at HEC and deals with what each learner can do rather than what they cannot do. This includes everything from the basics of music like rhythm and  rhythmic notation. Our objective is to get all our students playing at least a musical instrument by the time they graduate from Lower Secondary. We are daring and eclectic and that is felt in how our students perform their pieces either at assembly or during our various  flagship programs.
